DESIGN PROCESS
If you’ve got a Pinterest board bursting with ideas or a sketch on a napkin, that’s a great start—but if not, we’ve got you. We’ll chat, throw around some ideas and come up with a design that ticks all your boxes.
Yes! We’re more than happy to offer design advice—especially when it comes to nailing functionality, keeping up with what’s trending and sharing what’s worked well for our clients in the past.
First things first—we chat! We get to know your space, your style and how you actually want it to function. Then we’ll get to work designing something that’s both stunning and practical. We’ll help you choose the right materials and once it’s all locked in, our talented crew brings it all to life in our workshop. When it’s ready, we install it with care so everything fits like a glove. It’s smooth, stress-free and all about making your home feel just right.
You bet we do! We’ll usually pop out to measure up for your quote, then come back for a final check before we start building. No guesswork, no surprises—just bang-on measurements to make sure everything fits like a dream.
Absolutely! We’ll create 3D drawings during the design stage so you can see your space come to life. That way, you’ll be sure everything looks and feels just right before we start.
MATERIALS & FINISHES
We’re big fans of keeping it local! Wherever possible, we use Aussie-made materials from trusted brands like Polytec and Laminex. That said, we do also use imported Blum hardware—when the quality’s too good to pass up.
Blum is our go-to. It’s the hardware hero of the cabinetry world! Super smooth, tough and built to last.
We’ve got a material for every look:
- Melamine: The trusty all-rounder—durable, easy to clean and ready to handle everyday life.
- Vinyl wrapped/Thermolaminated: Flat, shaker or somewhere in between—we’ve got a profile for every personality and every corner of your home.
- 2 Pack: The fancy pants of finishes—used less often, but ideal if you’re after perfectly colour-matched cabinetry that’s sure to turn heads.
- Solid Timber: Warm, natural and packed with character, bringing a cozy feel to any space.
- Stylex: Outdoor warriors! Designed for alfresco areas, these doors brave the elements without breaking a sweat.

TIMING & INSTALLATION
Let’s just say we love notice like we love level benchtops—the more, the better.
Once we’ve finalised your design, it’s usually a 2 to 6 week turnaround. This gives us enough time to fine-tune the details, order your materials and custom build everything so we know it’ll fit perfectly. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you in the loop!
We know nobody likes living out of a microwave, so we do our best to keep the downtime as short as possible. Vinyl wrapped doors and stone and porcelain benchtops can add a bit of extra time, but they’re worth the wait!
Absolutely! We regularly team up with builders, plumbers, sparkies and tilers to keep your project flowing seamlessly from start to finish.
Not much—just clear the space, make sure we’ve got easy access and if it’s your kitchen that’s getting a makeover, it’s time to pack up those pantry snacks and set up a temporary spot for your morning coffee. We’ll handle the rest!
WARRANTY & AFTERCARE
Yes, we don’t just build it and bail. We stand by the quality of our workmanship and materials, so you can feel confident knowing your cabinetry will last for years to come.
No fancy tricks needed—just a soft cloth and a bit of mild detergent is all you need. Avoid anything abrasive and your cabinetry will keep looking as good as the day it was installed.

WEST VIC CABINETRY officially opened its shed doors in March 2022, but between us, our team’s got a solid 44 years’ experience in the trade!
We’re residential specialists—your home is where we shine. Big office blocks? Not so much.
We’re not picky—we love working with builders and the public! Whether you’re knee-deep in a new build or just dreaming up your dream kitchen, we’re here for it.
Typically, that’s something your builder or you would do. But if you need help sorting it out, we’ve got contacts!
Short answer? No. Refacing sounds like a quick fix, but we’ve found it’s often just as pricey as starting fresh, without the same quality or results.
That’s usually how it works! All you need to do is shoot us through the appliance specs and we’ll take care of the rest.
